For Myofunctional Therapy, you do not need to schedule a consultation first. However, a consultation prior to booking an assessment can help determine if myofunctional therapy is the best course of treatment. Following the consultation, if an assessment is needed, the cost of the consultation will be deducted at the time of assessment. Otherwise, this is an out-of-pocket cost and not reimbursable by insurance.

For Early Intervention Parent/Caregiver coaching a consultation is required prior to booking an assessment.

The number of sessions varies greatly depending on a variety of factors. We understand the time and costs involved in treatment and our goal is to be effective and efficient.

Yes, however all Myofunctional therapy evaluations and the first session are in-person at the clinic, with occasional exceptions. Please inquire directly to see if telehealth is appropriate for your situation.

If an articulation or a fluency disorder is found to be related to an underlying Myofunctional Disorder, yes we will provide therapy focused on those areas as well. We do not offer services for expressive, receptive, social communication disorders, or AAC.

Parent/Caregiver coaching is for caregivers with children under 4 years of age who have already been diagnosed with a communication delay and would like additional support, or are seeking an assessment & treatment because of concerns related to communication development.

The Parent/Caregiver Coaching model for Early Intervention (ages 0-3 typically) is the gold standard therapy model used in Early Intervention. It involves working directly with the parents/caregivers, in the home environment, so they learn the tools to support their child's communication growth.

Please be aware that Early Intervention (EI) Services are free through government funding of local Regional Centers in CA for all children under 3 years of age. Ask your pediatrician for more information about services in your area.

If you have feeding concerns, we will evaluate to determine if difficulties your child is having with breast feeding/bottle feeding, transitioning to solids, eating certain foods, or picky eating in general is related specifically to a myofunctional disorder. If it is then, yes. We will work with you and your infant/toddler on re-establishing proper function for feeding, chewing, and swallowing and help to build a more well rounded diet.

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or they will be billed according to our payment policy which is found in the intake forms through online booking.
